Vietnam is in the Southeast of Asia, is one of the most popular countries of china, its recognized for its gastronomy, when we talk about Vietnamese food, we need to mentioned that its main ingredient is the rice that is prepared in many ways like: rice noodles, steamed and sticky.
Its fundamental taste elements are: spicy (metal), sour (wood), bitter (fire), salty (water) and sweet (earth). You can eat the rice with different kinds of sauces (fish sauce, soy sauce, and squid ink), herbs (lemongrass, cilantro, mint), and fruits (banana, papaya and mango) and with different kinds of meats like pork, chicken, beef and also seafood like shrimps.
The Vietnamese gastronomy has a lot of influence from other countries like Thailand, China, Laos and Cambodia it also has a lot of French influence for the colonization. One of the most popular dish are the noodles, each with distinct influences, origins and flavors. A common characteristic of many of these soups is that you can eat them with a rich broth. Way to prepare noodles bowl:
- BOIL THE WATER, ADD THE SEASONING PACKETS
Bring 2 ½ cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat. Add the soup base and vegetable mix. Boil for 1 minute.
- DROP IN THE NOODLES—GENTLY
Add the whole disc of dried noodles. Do not break the noodles in half. I know it’s fun to break stuff, but you must resist. Instead, slip the noodles into the boiling broth and press them down with chopsticks or a fork to keep them submerged. Don’t stir the noodles—just keep them submerged. After 2 minutes, the noodles will soften and break apart.
