Glam Rock: Fusion

Learnex, English Forever ¡Aprende Inglés para Siempre!

In the Rock slang, Fusion or Jazz-Rock is a genre of music that emerged in the late 60’s and early 70’s that combine elements of Jazz, Rock and Funk.

Say that fusion refer to the loudest, wildest, most electrified fusion bands form the jazz camp, but most often it describes performers coming from the rock side. It was an attempt to fuse the visceral power of rock with the very musical complexity and improvisational fireworks of jazz.

Rock has always have been recognized because of its directness and simplicity, so we can say that Jazz rock grew out from the most artistically ambitious rock subgenres like psychodelia, progressive rock and the singer/songwriter movement.
