Grace is a word that could hold many definitions and different meanings. It could be understood as something related to physical appearance, such as a charming characteristic, or attractive trait; it could also refer to as a way someone acts or conduces himself, like simple elegance or refinement of movement; or it could even be a personality attribute, as the disposition to kindness, an act of courtesy, an instance of clemency, etc.
Talking about physical appearance, we all can be attractive. As Christian Dior said “there is no such thing as an ugly woman- there are only the ones who do not know how to make themselves attractive”, that means we need to be careful about how we look like in order to be treated with respect and not be misjudged for our appearance.
«Elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside» – Coco Chanel.
Elegance is not only about how you look. It is also about how you move, how you walk, how you speak and how you smell. It is taking care of little details and showing excellence in every little thing that is part of our lives. That is what being graceful also means.
Finally, as Gianni Versace said: “In the past, people were born royal; nowadays, royalty comes from what you do.” This means we are defined by our actions. Even in the toughest situations we can remain elegant and classy. As Ernest Hemingway said: “Courage is grace under pressure”.
